Dr. Alyssa Sullivan grew up on the Central Coast of California, where she began riding horses at the age of seven and quickly set her sights on becoming an equine veterinarian.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Sullivan completed an internship at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in Los Olivos, CA. Her passion for internal medicine grew, leading her to pursue a three-year residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Florida, where she achieved board certification, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM).

Dr. Sullivan is thrilled to return home to the Central Coast to provide specialized care for horses in the region. Her clinical interests include critical care, neonatology, neurologic disease, cardiology, respiratory disease, and gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Sullivan strongly values exceptional patient care and strong client communication. She is dedicated to building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with horses and their owners alike.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including horseback riding, hiking, skiing, and running. She also loves spending quality time with her family, friends, and her beloved Labrador Retriever, Gus.
